Community Involvement

I'm deeply committed to giving back through structured mentoring, volunteer judging, and community tech initiatives aimed at supporting early-career professionals and underrepresented groups.

RTC UK – Rewriting the Code (Ambassador)

  • Spearheaded and hosted a tech panel at Nottingham Trent University, demystifying tech roles and inspiring students from non-traditional backgrounds.
  • Served as a panellist for InclYOUsion Day, sharing insights on transitioning from medicine into tech, leading to three mentorship signups — one directly attributing a successful transition to the support given.
  • Led RTC UK's Summer Tech Hub as a mentor, supporting interns through early-career challenges, resume building, and goal setting.
  • Conducted CV and portfolio reviews and provided strategic mentorship tailored to women in tech from underrepresented communities.
  • Volunteered at St George's School, Scotland, introducing over 600 schoolgirls to the world of tech and inspiring future women leaders in STEM.
  • Initiated and led a monthly skill development initiative aimed at helping RTC members collaborate on real-world projects, enhance their portfolios, and improve job readiness. This effort increased engagement by 60%, allowing members to demonstrate hands-on experience and technical growth.
